A little bit of food for thought

Hello there.
First year of college is already busy enough with the classes, new CIOs, and the sudden inflow of friend requests on facebook. As a vegetarian student at UVA, I found it difficult to adjust to college lifestyle without reverting to salad and cereal every meal in the dining halls. Granted, O-Hill serves oh-so-'delicious' vegetarian meals from its salad bar, but can we seriously live on plain lettuce and ranch alone?
The answer, as most fellow vegetarian students would agree, is NO.
Therefore, in an effort to provide us, poor vegetarian students, from starving from food-boredom, I have decided to start a food blog of local Charlottesville restaurants who serve delicious vegetarian options.
Are you ready to embark on a journey of deliciousness and healthfulness?
Please, sit back, relax, (grab a friend with a car) and enjoy your meal.

  1. I fully agree. The vegetarian/vegan options at UVA dining could use improvement.

I remember experimenting with *gasp* veganism for a week at the dining halls and I found myself resorting back to fruit, veggies, and that dear old salad bar in that crazy week.

Savory should not be bound to the confines of meat. Vegetables are most certainly a formidable contender.
